a shadow of truth

Crookes Radiometer — Taken March of 2005 by Ti...

dark matters
darken
in the form of the formless
shapeless
strings tugging at the heart
of an endless universe

to go nowhere
faster than light

brief burst of supernova sunlight
only hides the truth
captured in meaningless jumbles
of distinct digital images

the future glut
the future onslaught

overflow
afterglow

to see in the dark
with night-vision goggles
only to find
nothing to see
in the dark

all returns to the shadow
in the end

The original version of this poem was put to music.

I’m liking it esp the end

    all returns to the shadow
    in the end

Thanks. I think I’ve written several versions of that poem over the years. I must really like something about it, but I keep tinkering with it.
