Michigan for sale

Michigan for sale (Photo credit: kevin dooley)

the sorrow of the rich man
is that everything worth buying
is not for sale
and the sorrow of the poor man
is that everything else is

and the wise man
doesn’t give a damn
because he knows the truth
that it doesn’t matter
how we play the game
if, in the end, everyone loses

and the common man
couldn’t care less
because he doesn’t know
what the heck is going on
or that the game was over
before it began

and everyone lives and dies
some die sooner
and others live longer
but in the end
equality is attained

Another old poem. I don’t think I changed anything. Boy, I must have been as much fun as a barrel of monkeys when I was younger.

🙂 Maybe you are ‘wiser’ now? But still a great write.
