The sunlight shining through these clouds in England is an example of sunbreak. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

her smile and the sun light up the sky
touching me like flowers that open in the morning
and lifting my soul up to the clouds way on high

she walked delightful way
floating on air and whistling a lullaby
dancing in a field where poppies and daises play

look what crawled out of a hole
where I had been buried those oh so many years
with so much left unsaid and her glories to extol

temporarily freed from the shackles of dark’s domain
left longing to walk with her on the green earth again
she was my beginning and was my end

This old college poem was originally left unfinished. But it had some basic lines that I really like, so I’ve worked on this a couple of times now recently and still haven’t been completely happy with it.
