a fiery red one

Each war is different, each war is the same

peace is just so incredibly dull and boring
but war will keep us from loudly snoring

so, let us follow the rider of the red horse
and leave behind any sense of regret or remorse

we can all share and swing his mighty sword
and slay and slash all the hated human horde

oh, how we men love to kill each other
despite all being descended from one mother

    Very well-written! True that.

Yet peace is not merely the absence of war, and our history has always been a tryst between our life and death instincts.

War can be a beautiful thing sometimes, a love story waiting to happen, a study in human nature. Yes, it is terrible that we can’t help kill each other from time to time, and yes, it’s an ugly thing that violence is such a femme fatale – seductive and dangerous; but on the other hand, there is no balance in the world without conflict.

Aphrodite and Ares – they go together. πŸ˜€

Thank you. You are right, sometimes the worst times bring out the best in us.

I wrote this after watching some show on TV about predictions for doomsday and then making the mistake of watching the nightly news. πŸ™‚
