just knocking about

starting a fire with two stones is an art
you can’t use just any two stones for a start

I wonder how man first figured this out
how did such discoveries come about?

was someone sitting cold and bored in a Belgian cave
with nothing better to do than misbehave

and strike some flint and iron pyrite together
near some tender that just happened to be there

starting a smoky fire that got him kicked out
until they realized it was something to write about?

I’ve wondered that myself….even with matches and kindling I sometime have trouble getting a fire going! So much for survival skills…:-/

Despite years of the best boy scout training efforts in my youth, I fear I too have few survival skills, unless enjoying listening to stories around the campfire counts. 🙂

I think it does count! Listening and telling stories around a fire has a magical quality about it, I think. Throw in some music (guitar and drums are good) and it is even better.

    AnElephantCant say it too often
He has told his sweet friend Emmy above
    Sanity is overrated
    Much more is created
With some strangeness and a sprinkling of love

Some strangeness and a sprinkling of love sounds good to me.
