sorrow came along

Sorrow (Photo credit: just.Luc)

sorrow came along
when we weren’t looking
and left before being recognized

it crept in stealthily
under cover of the chaos
of every day

someone must have left the front door
unlocked or something
thinking we were all safe and sound

or we were all too busy to notice
doing something so important
that we now forget exactly what it was

Thank you. Sometimes the sorrows just seem to come out of nowhere and leave us wondering what happened.

Thank you. I don’t remember now exactly what inspired this one. I think there was sad news on the TV at the time, although it may have been something personal that I no longer remember specifically. 🙂

Short poem, great drama! It felt like a lion creaping in.

Thanks, friend. We have to keep our swords sharp against those creeping lions waiting just beyond the light of our campfires.
