okay, so I know that the Hallmark Channel
has me right where they want me to be
as I sit all comfy in my easy chair
and watch another romantic comedy

meantime, my wife is downstairs
lying on a couch watching the living room TV
while another endless marathon of Law and Order
makes that dun dun sound that really irritates me

that’s okay, everybody’s different
and I suppose that is indisputable
but I wouldn’t have it any other way
because to each his own is beautiful
