‘The Dream Academy’ was a British folk pop trio. I remember how fresh and distinctive their music sounded on American radio back at the time.
These songs are both from their 1985 self-titled debut album. The first one being their big worldwide hit, of course.

‘Thurman’ was another of my favorite Britpop era bands. They only had one album, ‘Lux’ released in 1995 in the UK. I remember reading about their glam rock sound in a Not Lame catalogue and then searching for their album.

Dodgy is one of my favorite Britpop era power pop bands. I don’t believe that their music has ever been released in US, unlike bigger bands of the era like Oasis and Blur. I found their first three albums as UK imports.
This first song is from their second album, ‘Homegrown’ released in 1994.
So Let Me Go Far
The next songs are from their third album, ‘Free Peace Sweet’, released in 1996.
If You’re Thinking of Me
In a Room
