‘The Supernaturals’ are a britpop/power pop band from Scotland.
These first two songs are both from their hit debut album ‘It doesn’t Matter Anymore’ released in 1997.
Smile
‘Smile’ was the big hit, but my favorite track was always ‘I Don’t Think So’.
I Don’t Think So
This last song is from their album ‘360’ released in 2015.
Something To Believe In
Highly recommended.
Teenage Fanclub

Teenage Fanclub is a power pop band from Scotland that has been making music together for decades. Originally, it consisted of three singer/songwriters (Norman Blake, Raymond McGinley, and Gerard Love) who shared lead vocals and songwriting.
The band continued after Love left in 2018, but I haven’t been following their output much after that. They mellowed some over the years since they formed in 1989 and their hair is shorter, but they still made beautiful music and sound great.
Here is ‘Sparky’s Dream’ from their 1995 album release ‘Grand Prix’. You know that any song that has lyrics about Star Trek transporter beams, crystal balls, magic wands and a love dimension is going to peak my interest.
If she lived in space, man
I’d build a plane
Out of luck so beam me up
To hear her talking againShe painted pictures
That never dried
Always tried to keep the feeling aliveNeed a crystal ball to see her in the morning
And magic eyes to read between the lines.
I took a wrong direction
From a shooting star
In a love dimension
Fading fast from taking this too far
Gerard Love
Sparky’s Dream
‘Ain’t that Enough’ and ‘Speed if Light’ are from their 1997 release ‘Songs from Northern Britain’.
If you can I wish you would
Only if you feel you should
Bring your loving over
All wrapped up in circumstance
All stood up with taking stands
Bring your loving overHighlights glisten
Silence listens
Days that found you
Embrace that found youHere is a sunrise, ain’t that enough
True as a clear sky, ain’t that enough
Toy town feelings here to remind you
Summers in the city do what you gotta do
Gerard Love
Ain’t That Enough
Drive an easy road
If you’re looking for direction
Don’t forget to set your seat and go
Take an easy road
All you need is information
Everything is there to knowOnly you and me add up
Only you and me add up
Speed of light stars and planets
Taking over understand it
Speed of light stars and planets
Taking over understand it
Gerard Love
Speed of Light
‘Dumb Dumb Dumb’ is from their 2001 release ‘Howdy’.
It’s been playing on my mind
I don’t want to waste your time
And the thought of you is tearing me apartHad a name but now that’s gone
I don’t know where I went wrong
Now I’m all alone and drifting in the darkTake me back to what I know
Cos I don’t know where to go
And I’m finding it so hard to stay in tuneBut it’s hard to comprehend
Getting closer to the end
And I hope that I’ll be feeling better soonNow I’m just a fading light
But I want to feel alright
And I hope that you can help me through the daysAnd I find it hard to sleep
Cos I sold myself so cheap
Do you think about me when I go away
Norman Blake
